Anthony Cardell LambDecember 11, 1958 ~ July 18, 2017 (age 58)
Anthony “Cardell” Lamb, 58, peacefully transitioned from mortality to immortality on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Carolina Health Care System, Concord, NC. He was born December 11, 1958 at Sampson Regional Hospital, Clinton, NC.
At an early age, Cardell joined Keathern Missionary Baptist Church, Harrells, NC, where he learned many of his Biblical principles, as well as being instructed at home by his loving parents as a child.
Cardell attended school in the Sampson County School System, Bland Elementary, Harrells, NC, Clear Run Jr, High School, Garland, NC, Union High School, Clinton, NC., and was a graduate of the Class of 1977 (UHS Spartans). Cardell was one of the star athletes in and off the Basketball Court. After graduation Cardell enlisted into the US Army where he served proudly for 6 years, He obtained his apprenticeship in becoming a Master Plumber at Brewerton Parker College, Mount Vernon, GA.
Cardell was well-loved by many, always willing to go the extra mile, but his wife was the star of his world; he loved and adored her with all his heart. Whenever he mentioned her name, it was always with a smile not just from his lips, but from his heart.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 22, at Bethel Baptist Church, 2474 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC. Visitation will be 1:30 – 2:00 PM, with funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Curry Family Cemetery.
Cardell was predeceased by his parents, Charles E. Lamb Sr. and Arthalia Fennell Lamb, and his brother, Charles E. Lamb Jr.
Cardell is survived by his loving wife Margaret “Gigi” of 9 years; four brothers, Barry (Jacqueline) Fennell of Goldsboro, NC, James Thomas Lamb of Harrells, NC, Dennis (Crystal) Lamb of Greensboro, NC, Donald (Patricia) Lamb of Augusta, GA; Three sisters, Bonnette (Walter) Outlaw of Wilmington, NC, Carilethia (Larry) Huffin of Raleigh, NC, Ethel (Willie) Jenkins of Philadelphia, PA.; Mother-in-law, Dorothy Curry of Kannapolis, NC, Father-in-law, Robert Curry of Kannapolis, NC; Sister-in-laws, Margie A. Lamb of Garland, NC, Joan Curry of Concord, NC, Robin Curry of Charlotte, NC, Brothers-in-law, Tim (Suzzette) Curry of Leland, NC, Allan Curry of Kannapolis, NC. Three aunts, Berniece Harvey of Kelly, NC, Nancy Lamb of Atlantic City, NJ, Carolyn King, of Rose Hill, NC, one uncle, Rudolph Murphy of Rose Hill, NC and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
