Clarence McCauley, 85, of Clearview Drive, Charlotte, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte, NC.
He was born January 23, 1932 in Cabarrus County to the late Thomas McCauley and the late Iletta Grissom McCauley.
Clarence was educated in the Cabarrus County School System and was formerly employed with a Trucking Company. He currently was a member of New Hampton Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC; and a former member of Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church in Concord. He has served as an Elder, member of the Men's Council and the Masonic Order.
Services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church, 105 Odell School Rd, Concord, NC. Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with funeral services at 12:00 PM burial will follow at the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Julia W. McCauley.
Those left to cherish fond memories include one daughter, Deborah Grier of Concord; one son, Todd Franklin of Concord; one stepdaughter, Dorrie Boler Cutlip of Crestwood, KY; one stepson, Earl Grier (Pamula) of Charlotte; seven grandchildren, Eric Grier, Trilvia Grier, Earl R. Grier, Kevin Lynn, Jermaine Lynn, David Shipman and Le Boler; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Geter of Virginia Beach, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
