Clyde Hopper, 76, formerly of Old Centergrove Road, Kannapolis, NC, passed away Friday, March 23, at Five Oaks Manor.
He was born, October 26, 1941 in Gaston County, NC to Olivia Littlejohn Hopper and the late John Irvin Jackson.
Clyde was educated in the Gaston County Public Schools and was employed as a Truck Driver for a number of years.
Services will be held Friday, March 30 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:00 PM, with funeral services at 1:00 PM.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Mae Hopper and Martha Littlejohn.
Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Lena K. Hopper of Salisbury; one daughter, Gwendolyn Faye Cherry (William) of Salisbury; step-son, Thomas Kimble of Kannapolis; five grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 12 great great-grandchildren; mother, Olivia L Hopper of Kannapolis; three sisters, Dorothy Blackmon of Concord, Rosie Neal and Delores Cunningham both of Kannapolis; three brothers, Fred Hopper of Concord, Robert Hopper of Charlotte, Michael Hopper of Kannapolis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
