Emma Shinn Obituary

Emma Louise Shinn, 74, of Roberta Road, Concord, NC;  departed this earthly life  on Wednesday March 20 2024 at Atrium Health- Main.

She was born June 21, 1949 in Cabarrus County to the late Fred Henry Shinn, Sr., and the late Annie Mae Bottom Shinn.

Emma was educated in the Cabarrus County School System.   She was a graduate of Logan High School and Brookstone College.  She was previously in employed in Childcare. Emma was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Choir, SAMS, Costume Design, Hospitality and Nursery.

Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 4:00 PM at First Missionary Baptist Church,  59 Chestnut Drive, SW, Concord, NC

In addition to her parents’ she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Stanback, James Shinn, Johnnie Shinn, Willie Shinn.

Those left to cherish fond memories include her three daughters, Monica McKenzie, Crystal Dublin (James) and Deloris Morrow (Victor) all of Concord, NC; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; five sisters, Gwendolyn Weeks (Joe), Evelyn Stokes, Linda Shinn, Lucille Bell, Dorothy Norris; three brothers, Clyde Shinn, Fred Shinn, Jr., Billy Shinn and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and  friends.

The family will be receiving friends at  155 Robbins Street, Concord, NC, beginning Sunday, March 24 thru Wednesday, March 27 daily from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  If you wish to bring food and etc. please call (980) 777-0147 or (980) 521-8800 to arrange.

Due to Covid-19, masks are appreciated if worn in all services.
