Wade Thomas Reid

Wade Thomas Reid, 87, of Crowell Street, Mt. Pleasant, NC departed this earthly life  on Sunday,  March 17, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House.

He was born January 9, 1937 in Cabarrus County, to the late George Reid and the late Kathlene Lockhart Reid.

Wade was educated in the Cabarrus County School systems and was previously employed with Blythe Construction.

In addition to his parents, Wade was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Smith Reid; sisters, Isabelle Crump, Virginia Means, and Esther McClelland; brothers, George Reid, Jr., James Reid, and Harold Reid.

Services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, 923 Indiana Street, Kannapolis, NC  28083 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 1:00PM.  A burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens, Concord, NC.

Those left to cherish fond memories include his step daughter,  Carol Lynch of Mt. Pleasant, NC; three grandchildren, Thomas Fisher, Rachel Blakney and Ronald Lynch; three sisters, Mary Winecoff, Rose Rose and Mabel Lucille Reid all of Mt. Pleasant, NC; special nieces, Pamela Reid and Monell Blackmon and a host of other relatives and friends.

Due to Covid-19, masks are appreciated if worn in all services.
