Bishop Clarence Mitchell Lott, 87, of Esther Circle, Kannapolis, NC answered His heavenly Father’s call on Saturday, April 13, at the Tucker Hospice House.
He was born October 27, 1931 in Cleveland County, NC to the late James Preston Lott, Sr. and the late Dorshie Smith Lott.
Bishop Lott was educated in the Cleveland County Public Schools and served in the US Marines. He pastored in the Church of God of Prophecy Organization for a number of years.
Services will be held Thursday, April 18, at Bethel Baptist Church, 2474 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth L. Steele, Dorothy Lott, Ernest Gene Lott, Betty Jean Lott, Jerry Lott and Doris Ann Wilkes.
Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Eloise H. Lott of the home; four adopted children, Tony Marcus Lowery (Shonte) of Asheboro, NC, James Otis Lowery (Cherrie) of Kannapolis, Charlene Kirk of Concord, Christine Little of Chesterfield, SC; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Bishop James J. Lott (Brenda) of Kannapolis; sisters, Gladys Blackmon, Mary Jackson (Steve) Brenda L Hammond all of Kannapolis, Annie L Shaw (William) of Salisbury, Helen L. Johnson (Bishop Bobby) of Concord and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
