Carolyn Elaine Drye Moore, 53, of Eddleman Road, Kannapolis, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 13, at Atrium Health – Main in Charlotte, NC.
She was born July 24, 1966 in Cabarrus County to Virginia G. Wilkerson Crump and the late Mack Randolph Drye.
Carolyn was educated in the Cabarrus County School system and was a graduate of Concord High School and CPCC. She worked for several Nursing Homes in the area. Carolyn was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, served in the nursery and on the Altar Guild.
Services will be held Tuesday, August 20, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Kannapolis. Visitation will be 1:00 - 2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Those left to cherish fond memories include her husband, Alan Ray Moore of the home; two sons, Rakeem Cowans (Shakira) of Kannapolis, Jeremy Drye (Shalonda) of Charlotte; one daughter, Toshieta Foster of Landis; nine grandchildren; two step-sons, Ferrell Propst (Alycia), Cordaro Propst both of Kannapolis; step-daughter, Kenna McKnight of Richmond, VA; three sisters, Mildred Chambers, Delinda Hall, both of Kannapolis, Jamika Rall of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Mack Maxwell of Kannapolis; devoted friend, Mia Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
