Frederick Noah Bost, 97, of Lore St., Concord, NC passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019, at Concord Place.
He was born January 19, 1922, in Cabarrus County to the late James Wilson Bost and the late Sophronia Wagoner Bost.
Fred was a graduate of Logan High School and was formerly employed by the US Postal Service. He served in the US Navy and was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ.
Services will be held Thursday, September 5, at First Congregation United Church of Christ, 248 Tournament St., Concord. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 AM with funeral services at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Rutherford Memorial Cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Mills Bost.
Those left to cherish fond memories include a daughter, Fredda Bost Peay of Concord; three sons, Harold William Bost, Sr., (Shirley) of Mebane, NC, Ambassador Eric Michael Bost (Rose Mary Brownridge) of College Station, TX, Edwin Mallory Bost of Concord; 5 grandchildren; extended family 5 great grandchildren, special daughter, Harriett “Cookie” Stafford; special niece, Rev. Frances Bost Greene; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will be meeting at the home of his daughter, at 4440 Tom Reid Road, Concord, NC.
