Kenneth Dell Broadway, 60, of Lowe Avenue, Kannapolis, NC, passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
He was born December 29, 1959 in Union county, NC to the late Wendell Wilkie Broadway and the late Julia Ann Allen Broadway.
Kenneth was a graduate of the Mecklenburg County Schools and was formerly employed with the City of Charlotte. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Judah House of Praise
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 7. 2020 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with funeral services at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow the services at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Kenton Broadway and a sister, Flossie Lee Hasty.
He is survived by a daughter, Genesia Newsome of Charlotte, two sons, Emmanuel Broadway, Paxton Broadway both of Charlotte; sisters, Vicky Ann Broadway of Kannapolis, Judy Linda Crowder (Willie) of Wingate, NC, Wanda Ann Broadway of Charlotte, Diane Thompson of Monroe, Brenda Martin of Charlotte; brothers, Roger Lee Huntley, Billy Wayne Broadway, Wendell Wilkie Broadway, Jr. (Sonya), Lawrence Michael Broadway; aunt Frances Peters of Brooklyn, NY and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
