Minnie Christine Miller Josey, 92, of Lincoln St., SW, Concord, NC passed away Friday, March 29, at Curis of Concord.
She was born October 10, 1926 in Cabarrus County to the late Robert Lee Miller, Sr. and the late Odessa Mable Jenkins Miller.
Minnie was graduate of Logan High School and she attended Emmanuel Lutheran College, Barber Scotia College and went on the graduate from Nursing School in New Jersey. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was the founding member of the Amazing Grace Prayer & Craft Class. She also was a member of the L.W.M.L., Willing Worker’s and the Mass Choir.
Services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2019 Grace Lutheran Church, 58 Chestnut Dr., SW, Concord, NC. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM with funeral services at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rutherford Memorial Park.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Josey, II; two great grandchildren, Marquise Green and Cherelle Josey; two sisters, Sarah Choice, Barbara Miller; five brothers, Joseph Miller, Franklin Miller, Hartsell Miller, Robert Miller and Coy Lee Miller.
Those left to cherish fond memories include two daughters, Rosalyn J. Ford of the home, Cynthia A. Davis of Concord; two sons; Warren Josey (Maria) of Kannapolis, Frederick Josey, III of San Diego, CA; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Handy (Andrew) of Fairview Heights, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
