Robert Franklin Ware, Sr., 65, of S. Harding Ave, Kannapolis, NC passed away February 8, at his residence.
He was born March 22, 1953 in Cabarrus County to the late Ernest Ware, Sr. and the late Essie Mackins Ware.
Robert was educated in the Kannapolis City School System. He was formerly employed with Linn-Corriher Mills and Charlotte Motor Speedway. Robert attended Mt. Calvary Holy Church in Salisbury. He was members of Vashti #122 Past Master King Ahasuerus Lodge 127 Shriner, Order of Eastern Star, United National and King David Grand Lodge.
Services will be held Sunday, February 17, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, 923 Indiana St., Kannapolis, NC. Visitation will be at 1:00 – 2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00 PM.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Essie Davis; three sisters, Mary Smith, Mary Helen Hamrick and Ola Mae Ware; one brother, Ernest Ware, Jr.
Those left to cherish fond memories include his two sons, Robert F. Ware, Jr. of China Grove, NC and Milton Ware of Concord; two daughters, Catica Knox of Kannapolis and Lindsey Ware of China Grove, NC; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Ware of Kannapolis; one brother, Curtis Ware (Pastor Hattie Mae) of Harrisburg, NC.; adopted children, Lynn Robinson, Kendra Wilson, Lindsay Sheely Evans, Akyra Perdue; caregivers, Mr. & Mrs. Duncan Daye, Sr. and Duncan Daye, Jr. and companion, Edna Coleman of Lexington, NC and a host of cousins and friends.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of Elizabeth Ware, 605 Hillside Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
