Obituary

Shirley Littlejohn Propst, 68, of Charlie Walker Rd., Kannapolis, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Atrium Health – Cabarrus

She was born February 14, 1951 in Shelby, NC to the late Benjamin Franklin Littlejohn and the late Katherleen Good Littlejohn.

Shirley was educated in the public schools of Cleveland County and was formerly employed with Cannon Mills.  She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church where she has served as Deaconess, Usher, Sr. Missionary, she organized Hannah’s Prayer and was a member of the Hymn Choir.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 4.  2020 at Rose Hill Baptist Church.   Visitation will be from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, with funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the services at the church cemetery.

Those left to cherish fond memories include her husband, Donald Propst, Sr. of the home; three daughters, Donnise Shipp, Sonia Crumblin (Darryl), Shalanda Leigh Propst all of Kannapolis; one son, Donald Propst, Jr. of Concord; reared in the home, James Allen (Roseva) of Kannapolis; six sisters, Mary Frances Jordan of China Grove, Queen Reid (Billy), Patricia Propst (Gregory Jr.), Cindy Smith (Milton), Lavorie Givens all of Kannapolis, Kimberly Lancaster (Michael); three brothers, Joe Lewis Littlejohn (Annie), Charles Littlejohn both of Kannapolis, Dennis Littlejohn of Gastonia; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two uncles, Raymond Goode of Virginia Beach, VA, Timothy Goode of Kings Mountain, NC;  brother-in-law Farris Turner of Grover, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family is meeting at the home of Sonia & Darryl Crumblin, 409 Pearl Avenue, Kannapolis, NC.
