Obituary

Benny Sloan, Jr., 46 of Dallas Ave, Kannapolis, departed this earthly life on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at his aunt’s residence.

He was born October 2, 1975, in Cabarrus County to Benny Sloan, Sr. and Katherine Columbus Hamrick.

Benny was educated in the Cabarrus County School System and was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School.  He was formerly employed in Construction.

Service will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Living Water Church of God, 166 N. Little Texas Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083. Visitation will be 2:00 PM-3:00 PM with services at 3:00 PM.  A burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, one son, Benny Sloan, III of Charlotte, NC; one granddaughter, Novia Sloan of Concord, NC; his parents Apostle Benny Sloan, Sr. (Constance), Katherine Columbus Hamrick (James) both of Kannapolis; four sisters, Kewanna Bigelow (Gary) of Salisbury, NC, Brittany Foley (Wade) of Kannapolis, Nicole Washington (Tyrone) of Kannapolis, Millicent Reid (Anthony) of Mooresville, NC; three brothers, Tyrell Sloan of Kannapolis, Antonio Bell (Laura) of Concord, NC, Lamonte Bell of Charlotte, NC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Due to Covid-19, Masks are appreciated if worn in all services.
