Betty Jean Lytch Armstrong, 59, of Admiral Drive, High Point, NC, passed away Friday, February 21, at her residence.
She was born July 19, 1960 in Bennettsville, SC to Lee Ethel Frazier Lytch and the late Lorenza “Wimp” Lytch.
Betty was educated in the High Point public schools; she was a 1978 graduate of Central High School and attended Winston Salem State University, she was formerly employed by Forsythe and Guilford County Public Schools. Betty was the founder of Better To Give Outreach, mentor for Toys for Tots and a community activist.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 29, at Bethel Baptist Church 2474 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC Visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, with funeral services at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery & Memorial Gardens, Charlotte, NC.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, two daughters, Sheena Armstrong (Demario) and Maria Armstrong, both of Simpsonville, SC; a son, Floyd L. Armstrong, III of Charlotte, NC; mother, Lee Ethel Lytch of High Point, NC; five grandchildren, Austin Armstrong, Dean Benbow, Hailey Peay, Nala Armstong, Bradley Benbow; godson, Sawne Armstrong of Boonville, NC former husband, Floyd Armstrong, II of Charlotte, NC; sister, Janet Lytch of High Point, NC; brother Renza Lytch (Kentrell) of Kernersville, NC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
