Billie Ray Witherspoon

Billie Ray Witherspoon, 84, formerly of Patterson Ave., Concord, NC departed this earthly life on November 3, 2023, at Five Oaks Rehab Center.

He was born May 17, 1939, in Cabarrus County to the late Harry William Witherspoon and the late Daisy Rucker Witherspoon.  He was educated in the Cabarrus County School System and attended Shankletown School.   He was formerly employed by the Mennen Company in NJ and returned to Concord to work in Construction until his retirement.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, at 1:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home Chapel. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Arnold Reco Witherspoon; brother, Harold Lee Witherspoon; sister, Joyce Witherspoon Walls.

Those left to cherish fond memories include: three daughters, Yondolyn Nurse of Cherryville, NC, Bridgette Jacobs (Alonzo) of Salisbury, NC, Angela Witherspoon of Cherryville, NC; one son, Don Diego Witherspoon of Kannapolis, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
