Billy Wayne Haynie

Billy Wayne Haynie, 74, of Spring Ave.,  Troy, NY departed this earthly life  on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at his residence.

He was born February 16, 1950 in Cabarrus County to the late William Haynie and the late Carrie Black Haynie.

Billy received his formal education in the public schools of Kannapolis, NC  and was a graduate of Carver High School.  He served in the US Army.

Services will be held Wednesday, April  24, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, 923 Indiana St., Kannapolis, NC  28082. Visitation will be from 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM. Burial will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 9:00 AM, VA National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.

In addition to his parent’s, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Tajah sisters, Mary Nell Mercer, Julia Hagan, Bessie Smith; brothers, William Haynie, Jr., Joe Haynie, Ray Haynie, Hugh Haynie, Bobby Haynie.

Those left to cherish fond memories include his daughter,  Deitra Haynie Chambers of Clearwater, Fla.; two grandchildren, Hakeem, and Bryce; a sister, Shirley McKay (Johnny) of Rialto, CA.; sister in-law, Nettie Haynie of Kannapolis, NC  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Due to Covid-19, masks are appreciated if worn in all services.
