Bishop Bobby Eugene Johnson

Bishop Bobby Eugene Johnson, 73, of Merchant Lane, Davidson, NC, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Atrium Health-Cabarrus in Concord, NC.  He was born October 3, 1949, in Cabarrus County to the late Samuel Lee Johnson and the late Lillian Shankle Bond.

Bobby was educated in the Cabarrus County School System and was employed as a Minister. He was the former pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy from 1983 to 1991 and Sons of God Harvest Ministries from 1991 to 2005.

Services will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church, 2474 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083.  Visitation will be 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM; with funeral services at 2:30 PM. A burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Those left to carry on his legacy include his wife, Helen Lott Johnson of the home;  two sons, Corey Johnson (Angela) of Concord, NC, Brian Johnson (Aretha) of Davidson, NC; one daughter, Tyra Johnson of Concord, NC, ; four adopted children, Rodney Johnson of Concord, NC,  Catreesa Johnson, Doneqeria Johnson, Charity Johnson all of Charlotte, NC; one foster child, Jason Kutzer of Greensboro, NC; 16 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one uncle, Larry Johnson of Camden, NJ and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
