Obituary
Bonita Yvette Dupree Ford, 58 of Beaumont Ave., Kannapolis NC, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
Bonita was born November 16, 1964, in Cabarrus County to Billye Steepleton Dupree and the late Benjamin Dupre.
Bonita received her education in the Kannapolis City School System, where she was a graduate of AL Brown High School and also a graduate of Bennett College.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and former member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Bonita was also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
Services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 204 N. Little Texas Rd., Kannapolis, NC. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM with funeral services at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Those left to cherish fond memories include two sons, Christian Ford (Megan) of Albemarle, NC; Britton Ford of Kannapolis, NC; one daughter, Marsalis Ford of Kannapolis, NC; mother Billye S. Dupree of Kannapolis, NC; six grandchildren; one brother, Benjamin Dupree (Leanne) of Arizona, one aunt Jean Dupree of Washington, DC, one nephew Adrian Dupree and a host of cousins and friends.
