Booker T Washington

Booker T. Washington, 67, of East D Street, Kannapolis, NC departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at his son’s residence in Concord, NC.

He was born May 9, 1955, in Cabarrus County to the late Jessie Lee Wilson and the late Clara Ann Washington.

Booker T. was educated in the Iredell County School System. He was formerly employed with Phillip Morris.

Service will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, 923 Indiana St, Kannapolis, NC  28083. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM with service to follow at 2:30 PM.  Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Allison, two sisters Elder Mary L Jackson and Jessie Mae Harris.

Those left to cherish fond memories include his two sons Steven Jackson (Aaliyah)of Kannapolis, NC and Ja' Colby Allen of Winston Salem, NC; two daughters, Emilia Mason (Dwight) of Kannapolis, NC; and Chanel Waters of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Roman Newkirk, Shermari Weaks, Emani Mason, Jayan Waters, and Nailah Waters; four brothers Jim (O.C.) Washington of Philadelphia, PA; Carl Allison (Ruby) of Atlanta, GA; Minister Billy Ray Washington (Romely) of Kannapolis, NC, and Clay C. Washington of Fayetteville, NC; four sisters, Elizabeth Bolder, Cloise Washington, Cleo Washington all of Kannapolis, NC; Vanessa Washington of Salisbury, NC; life-long friend, Marshall Washington of Kannapolis,, NC; sister-in-law, Geraldine Allison of Kannapolis, NC; aunt Lola Bell Watson of Kannapolis, NC; Special Friend, Verneice Waters of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews  cousins,  and friends.
