Brian Godfrey Jackson, 73, of Crown Hill Drive, Mint Hill, NC, departed this earthly life on Thursday, November 4 at Novant Presbyterian Medical Center.
He was born December 2, 1947, in Newark, NJ to the late Elbert Jackson and the late Alfreda Gill Jackson.
Brian was a graduate of Montclair High School, Shaw University and received his Master’s degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was formerly employed with TIAA Cref. Brian was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 15, from 6:00 - 8:00PM at the Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with funeral services at 12:00 PM. Burial will be held in Locust Grove, VA.
Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Linda Jones Jackson of the home; two sons, Brian Michael Jackson (Chakea) of Fredericksburg, VA; Craig Joseph Jackson (Michelle) of Union, NJ; three daughters, Natasha Gross of Landover, MD, Lauren Tate of Washington, DC, Jennifer Jackson of Washington, DC; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Karen Thorburn (Andrew) of Villa Park, CA, Barbara Carter of Anaheim, CA; special nephew, Wayne Carter (Dionne) of Overland Park, KS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
