Charles Dan Charleston, 63, of Shelley Avenue, Charlotte, NC passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte. He was born in Rowan County on June 14, 1957; to Willis Broadway Charleston and the late Willie Dan Charleston.
Charles was educated in the Rowan County Schools System and graduated from East Rowan High School; he attended Livingstone College and Rowan Technical College. He was the owner of Champion Electric. Charles was a member of Christ Gospel Church of Mecklenburg County, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and multiple capacities in the local church.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 1, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home. Funeral services be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 2, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Charlotte.
Those left to cherish his memory includes his wife, Denise Smith Charleston of the home; children, Charlvante Charleston of Charlotte. Demishea Charleston of Atlanta, GA; Delesha Charleston of Charlotte, Cravont Charleston of Charlotte; mother, Willis B. Charleston of Salisbury; siblings, Willie Ray Charleston, Sr. (Rucella) of Charlotte, Alvin Charleston of Salisbury, Sonya Lloyd (Peter) of Wilmington, NC, Christa Charleston of Salisbury, Nora Brown (James) of Augusta, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to Covid-19 Mask must be worn to all services.
