Cynthia Darlene Thompson Ijames, 62, of Ivey Street, Concord, NC, passed away Thursday, January 23, at Tucker Hospice House.
She was born May 4, 1957 in Cabarrus County to the late Alfred Thompson and the late Eldora Brown Thompson.
Darlene was educated in the Kannapolis Schools and attended A.L. Brown High School. She was formerly employed by several Nursing Homes and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 30, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Thompson.
Those left to cherish fond memories include three daughters, Alethea Drye (Darion), Kenethia Banks (Carl) both of Kannapolis, Latasha Thompson of Concord; one son, Havies Thompson (Brittney Caldwell) of Kannapolis; 14 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Rev. Randy Thompson (Margie), Rev. Stanford Ray Isom (Brenda) both of Concord; three sisters, Cathy Beatty (Roger) of Mooresville, Charlene Thompson of Salisbury, Alfreda Andrews (Ray) of Concord; special god-daughter Erica Sloan of Concord; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
