Felymenton Roscoe Black, 68, of Blume Ave, SW, Concord passed away September 5, 2020 at his residence.
Roscoe as he was called was born May 25, 1952 in Cabarrus County to the late Andrew Adams Black, Sr. and the late Phyllis Loyd Black.
Roscoe attended Mt. Pleasant High School. He was formerly employed with Cannon Mills and the Cabarrus County School System.
Services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Living Water Church of God, 166 N. Little Texas Rd., Kannapolis, NC. Visitation will be 2:00 – 3:00 PM, with funeral services at 3:00. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant First Congregational Church Cemetery.
In addition to his parents Roscoe was preceded in death by two sisters, Jannie Mae Black and Gracie Bost; two brothers, James Herman Black and Andrew “Burt” Black.
Those who shall forever cherish his memory include his wife, Sarah Ann Black of the home; his six children, Detra Black Reid (Troy) of Mt. Pleasant, Tyson E. Black (Tomi) of Concord, Archie “Lee” Black of Gaithersburg, MD, Carlo F. Black, Sr. (Jessica) of Concord, Tracie Black Sanders (DeQuan) of Concord and Marcus A. Black of Kannapolis; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Velma Simpson (Howard-deceased) of Laurel, MD, Barbara Bost (Harold-deceased) of Greensboro, NC, Vergie Bost (Greg-deceased) of Concord; one brother, Mabrey Black (Betty) of Concord; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Black (Herman) of Concord and Jennie Miller Black (Andrew) of Concord and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to Covid-19 Mask must be worn to all services.
