George Allen Wilson

George Allen Wilson, 70, Setter Lane., Concord, NC departed this earthly life on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at his residence.

He was born May 28, 1953, in Iredell County to the late George Woodrow Wilson and the late Florence Ramsey Wilson.

George was educated in the Iredell County Schools and a graduate of South Iredell High School.  He enlisted in the US Army and retired after 22 years of service; and then worked for R + L Carriers. George was a member of New Life Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, member of the Usher Board and Bus Ministry.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, at New Life Baptist Church, 1281 Biscayne Drive, Concord, NC.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with funeral services at 12:00. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Those left to cherish fond memories include: his wife, Kay Russell Wilson of the home; daughter, Dr. Jessica Kaye Wilson of Raeford, NC; son, Jeremy Allen Wilson of Idaho Springs, CO; four grandchildren; sister, Marsha White (James) of Salisbury, NC; brothers, Jerry Wilson (Mary) of Knoxville, TN, Robert Wilson (Patricia)  of Charlotte, NC, Ralph Wilson (Debra)  of Troutman, NC; special nephew, Sherman “Gene” Wilson of Statesville, NC; special niece, Yolanda Stanback of Kannapolis, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
