Havies Wilkes, Jr., 77, of Desoto Ave., Kannapolis, NC departed this earthly life on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at his residence.
He was born November 19, 1948, in Chester, SC to the late Havies Wilkes, Sr. and the late Rosa B. Franklin Wilkes.
Havies was educated in the Cabarrus County School System and was a 1966 graduate of G.W. Carver High School. He was formerly employed with Old Castle Precast.
Havies attended the Church of God of Prophesy-Concord and was a member and Secretary for King Uzziah Lodge #225.
Services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, Living Water Community Church, 166 N, Little Texas Road, Kannapolis, NC, 28083, visitation from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM with funeral service at 9:00 AM. A burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Little and Armethia Murphy; two brothers, John Wilkes and Eddie Wilkes; a niece, Sharon Rice.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Kim G. Wilkes of the home; two sons, Havis Quinn (Diane) and Havies J. Thompson, both of Kannapolis, NC; six daughters, Kenethia Banks (Carl) of Salisbury, NC, Latasha Thompson of Salisbury, NC, Alethea Drye (Darion) of Kannapolis, NC, Keiana Glasco of Kannapolis, NC, Asia Elliott of Statesville, NC and special sister/niece, Sonja Hancock (Kaotha) of Kannapolis, NC; 20 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; six brothers, James Wilkes of Daytona, FL, David Wilkes (Audrey) of Akron, OH, Bernard Wilkes of Daytona, FL, Ronald Wilkes (Lorna) of Kannapolis, NC, Terry Wilkes and Darrel Foster (Audrey) both of Concord, NC, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
