Iris Renee Love

Iris Renee Love, 66 of Standing Oaks Dr., Granite Quarry, NC, departed this earthly life on Friday, May 15, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on January 25, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York to Johnny Tyrone Love and Mary Alice White Love.

Iris received her education in the Miami-Dade County Schools in Florida; and attended Durham Technical College and graduated from Cornerstone Christian College in New York. She was formerly employed with Atrium Health-Cabarrus.

She enjoyed spending time at the Rufty Homes Senior Center.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, 923 Indiana Street, Kannapolis, NC. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward Brown.

Iris leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters,  Dekeyta Brown of Granite Quarry, NC; Latoya Brown, of Durham, NC; one son, Leon Shaw Brown of Plant City, FL; seven grandchildren, Trenecia Frazier, DeAndre Grace (Kori), Zion Frager,   Ty-Quwon Frager, Leon Brown Jr., Leona Brown and Lenora Brown; two great grandchildren, Qumari Smith and Zaylani Jones; her parents, Johnny Love and Mary Love; one brother, Michael Love (Nicole) and one sister, Brenda Love, a host of  nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
