Joseph Eugene Moore, Jr., 64, of Atlantic Ct., Kannapolis, NC departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Atrium Health-Cabarrus.

He was born April 18, 1961, in Cabarrus County to the late Joseph E. Moore, Sr., and the late Dorothy Shaw Ekpo.

Joseph was educated in the Kannapolis City School System where he attended A. L. Brown High School.  He was formerly employed with Cannon Mills.

Joseph was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he served on the Usher Board.

Services will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 6280 Pleasant Grove Church Rd., Kannapolis, NC.  Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM with services at 3:00 PM.  Burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his sister, Tonya Rucker (Bracero) of Concord, NC; niece, Bracera Rucker (Ricardo); nephew, Justin Moore; cousins, Kevin and Wonda Shaw and Barbara Moser. A host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
