Katherine Julia (Curtis) Fleming

Katherine Julia (Curtis) Fleming, 63 of Candlewick Drive, Salisbury, NC, departed this earthly life on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Novant Health-Rowan Medical Center, Salisbury, NC.  She was born November 6, 1959, to the late Joseph Franklin Curtis and the late Roberta Traynham Cobham in Rockville, CT.

Katherine was educated in Rockville, CT School System and a graduate of the High School of Commerce, Springfield, MA.  She was a graduate of Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, NC and currently attending Central Carolina Institute of Theology. Katherine was currently employed with Novant Health.  She was a member of Mt. Calvary Holy Church, Salisbury, NC., where she served as an Associate Minister, Church Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, Praise Team, Choir and Pastor’s Aid President.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 300 S. Caldwell St., Salisbury, NC 28144.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM; with funeral services at 11:00 AM. Burial on Monday, March 13, 2023 @ 11:00 AM at the VA National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144.

Those left to cherish her memories include husband, Theol A. Fleming, Sr. of the home; two daughters, Kandis Fleming of Salisbury, NC, Jennie Sanders (Christopher) of Killeen, TX; one son, Theol A. Fleming, II (Tashanna) of Salisbury, NC; four grandchildren, Anyah Collins, Miah Sanders, Christopher, Jr., Kaileigh Fleming; two sisters, Linda Henderson of Salisbury, NC, Patricia Forbes of Springfield, MA; one brother, Troy Curtis of Houston, TX; four nieces, Brandy Perkins, Tara Kennedy, Areon Forbes, Brazil Perkins; one nephew, Kyrie Kennedy; spiritual mother, Doris Pierce of Wichita Falls, TX and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Due to Covid-19 Mask are appreciated if worn to all services.
