Katherine Senolia Bost Johnson, 81, of Parkview Court, Concord, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 5, at Tucker Hospice House.
She was born May 28, 1938 in Cabarrus County to the late Harry Bell Bost and the late Ollie Lloyd Bost.
Katherine, also fondly called "Nant", was a graduate of Logan High School and was previously employed by Craftsman Hosiery Mill and the Brian Center. She was a member of Reeves Chapel AME Zion Church where she have served as a Deaconess, member of the Faithful Few Choir and the Gospel Singers.
Services will be held at Reeves Chapel AME Zion Church on Wednesday, February 12. Visitation will be 1:30 – 2:00 pm with funeral services at 2:00. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Johnson and by her 11 siblings.
Those left to cherish fond memories include two daughters Phyllis Davis (Lemmie) of Concord, Stephanie Shipp (Anthony) of Concord; son, Vincent Johnson (Patty) of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Letonda Medlin, Erica Griffin, Dexter Jones, Xavier Johnson, Lamar Johnson, Yasmine Venable; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Judy Mincer, Maxine Johnson, Dorothy Johnson, special niece, Maxie Harris of Concord; special nephew, Dennis Bost (Doretha) of Concord, god-niece, Felecia Gray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
