Letha Magnolia (Pearson) Smith

Letha Magnolia Pearson Smith, 87, of Crowell Drive, SW, Concord, NC departed this earthly life on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Atrium Health - Cabarrus.

She was born January 11, 1936, in Cabarrus County to the late Ray Pearson and the late Pauline Miller Pearson.

After completing the Cabarrus County Schools, Letha attended Bands Beauty College and became a Licensed Beautician; she was a member of Chapter 50 Beauticians of Concord.  Letha was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she served on the choir, Willing Workers Club, Prayer, and Craft Class and one of the founders of the Genesis Community Choir.

Services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Grace Lutheran Church, 58 Chestnut SW, Concord, NC. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 PM with funeral services at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Rutherford Memorial Cemetery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy B. Smith, Sr.

Those left to cherish fond memories include one son, Billy Smith, Jr. of Concord, NC; three daughters, Brenda Bryant, Paula Reid (James), Deon Smith Bottex (Wilner) all of Concord, NC; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; special cousin, Cathy Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
