Mary Alice Stanback

Mary Alice Stanback, 89, of Kingston Drive, Kannapolis, NC  departed this earthly life on  Sunday, May 14, 2023 at her residence.

She was born February 1, 1934, in Cabarrus County to the late Sarah Katherine Stanback Dry.

Mary was educated in the Kannapolis Schools and a 1952 graduate of G.W. Carver High School.  She was formerly employed with Cannon Mills.  Mary was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she served as an Usher and with the Golden Age Ministry.

Service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church 2474 Dale Earnhardt Blvd. Kannapolis, NC. Visitation will be from 1:00  to 2:00 PM  with funeral services at 2:00 PM.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.                                                                                                                                                           

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Eric D, Stanback and siblings, Kay Dry, Kenneth Dry, Sherman Dry, Herman Dry, Mack Dry, Mark Dry, James Dry, Martin Dry and Leonard Dry.

Those left to cherish fond memories include her children, LaDonna McNeely, Angela Stanback, Melinda Delahoussaey, Haskel Stanback (Doris), Dale Stanback (Jacqueline); nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
