Mrs. Ozella Turner Evans, 91, of Birch Hammond Dr., Greensboro, NC, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
She was born September 1, 1928 in Warren County, NC to the late George Turner and the late Hallie Alston Turner.
Ozella was graduate of Newton High School and Middlesex Community College. She was formerly self-employed with Brownstone Travel Agency in Portland, CT.
A Private Service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Evans, Jr.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, four daughters, Suzanne Evans and Leslie Evans Graham both of High Point, NC, Patricia Evans of Middletown, CT and Stephanie Evans of Greensboro, NC; one son, William J. Evans, III (Lenora) of East Hampton, CT; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, June T. Lowe and Joan T. Banks (Jesse); two brothers, William Turner (Nancy) and Thomas Turner (Ethelene) all of the Newton, MA area; sisters in-law, Selena Draper and Earline V. Pruitt both of Boston, MA and Michele A. Mendes of Wilmington, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all precious in her sight.
