Rev. Roosevelt Campbell Sr., 69, of Flowe Ave., Kannapolis, NC passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his Residence. He was born in Cabarrus County, on September 18, 1951 to the late Allan Campbell and the late Minnie Brannon Campbell.
Rev. Roosevelt was educated in the Kannapolis City School System and was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School. He also attended Central Piedmont Community College. He was currently employed by Transden Bus Service as a bus driver. Rev. Roosevelt was an Associate Minister at First Baptist Church in Kannapolis NC. He was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent. He also played the bass guitar for his church.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, William Clarence Barber Jr. and Thomas Campbell Sr.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at First Baptist Church located at 1311 E 1st St, Kannapolis NC on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Those left to cherish his memory includes his wife, Rev. Trina Campbell of the home; six sons, Velton Campbell (Delores) of Wingate, Robert Campbell (Sable) of Landis, Robert Ford (Nakeda) of Concord, Octrone Nicqua Ford of Charlotte, Roosevelt Campbell Jr. of Kannapolis, Aaron Campbell of Kannapolis; 19 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 aunts, Evelyn Allison of Concord, Jeanette Ford of Concord; special daughter, Candice Bennett (Melvin); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
