Rosa Belle Franklin Wilkes, 92, of N. Little Texas Road, Kannapolis NC, passed away Thursday, April 20, Atrium Health-Cabarrus.
She was born august 6, 1930 in Chester County, SC to the late Charlie Feaster and the late Henrietta Franklin.
Rosa was a graduate of Finley High School in South Carolina and worked various jobs including Cannon Mills, local Nursing Homes as well as some private homes. She was a member of Church of God of Prophesy in Concord, NC
Services will be held Friday, April 28, at Living Water Church of God in Kannapolis, NC Visitation will be 2:00 – 3:00 PM with funeral services at 3:00. Burial will be Saturday, April 29, at Old Zion Cemetery & Heritage Site in Chester, SC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Wayne Wilkes and a granddaughter reared in the home, Sharon Rice.
Those left to cherish fond memories include two daughters Sarah Little of Kannapolis, NC, Aramethiea Murphy (Johnny) of Daytona Beach, FL; seven sons, Havies Wilkes, Jr. (Kim) of Concord, NC, John Wilkes (Trina), Bernard Wilkes, Ronald Wilkes (Lorna) all of Kannapolis, James Wilkes of Daytona Beach, FL, David Lynn Wilkes (Audrey) of Akron, OH, Terry Wilkes of Salisbury, NC; 43 grandchildren; 82 great grandchildren; and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
