Sarah Bernadette Huntley, 66 of Lash Drive, Salisbury, NC passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
She was born December 16, 1953 in Anson County to the late Dozier Huntley and the late Katherine McKay Taylor.
Sarah was educated in the Georgia School System and was a graduate of Glenn Academy High School. She enlisted in the US Army and served as a Practical Nurse. Sarah was a member of Mt. Calvary Holy Church where she served on the Missionary Board, Benevolence Committee, Hospitality Committee, Sunday School Teacher and Choir. She was also active in the Rowan County Disabled American Veterans
Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 1:00 – 1:30 PM with a Memorial Service at 1:30. Burial will be Tuesday, September 1, at 1:00 PM at the National Cemetery in Salisbury
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Traynham Cobham and a brother, Hillard Traynham.
Those left to cherish her loving memory include a daughter, Katrina Huntley-Stringer (Logan) of Salisbury; a son, Jamal Huntley (Ayanna) of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren, Dozier Huntley, Khiana Stringer, Khalis Stringer, Serenity Huntley, Steven Huntley; three nieces, Linda Henderson, Kathy Fleming (Tony), Patricia Forbes and a host of adopted grandchildren, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
