Obituary

Shelly Donette (Harrington) Sanders, 50, of Solway Lane, Charlotte, departed this earthly life on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Atrium Health-Cabarrus, Concord, NC. She was born January 29, 1972, in High Point, NC to the late Charles Harrington and Barbara Robbins Harrington.

Shelly was educated in the Guilford County School System and was a graduate of High Point Central High School. She went on to receive several degrees from High Point University, Strayer University and Seton Hall University.   Shelly was formerly employed with Bank of America. She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Golden Key International Honor Society.  Shelly was a member of New Life Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board.  

Services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at New Life Baptist Church, 1281 Biscayne Drive, Concord, NC 28027.  Visitation will be 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM; with funeral services at 1:00 PM.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her husband, Charles E. Sanders of the home; one daughter, Kennedy Knight of Los Angeles, CA; one son, Korbin Sanders of the home; her mother, Barbara R. Harrington of Concord, NC; paternal grandmother, Celestine Crawford of High Point, NC; two sisters, Shelby Davis (Gregory) of Concord, NC, Natalie Harrington of Atlanta, GA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
