Steven Douglas Barbee

Steven Douglas Barbee, 75, of  Huntersville, NC departed this earthly life  on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at his residence.

He was born December 11, 1948 in Durham, NC to the late Charles G. Barbee and the late Leara Bridges Barbee.

Steven  was a graduate of  Central High School. He continued his education at  Passaic Community College and William Paterson University. He was previously employed with the Paterson Police Department. Steven was a member of New Life Baptist Church

Services will be held Saturday, April  13, 2024 at New Life Baptist Church, 1281 Biscayne Drive, Concord, NC  28025.  Visitation will be from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM  with service to begin at 4:00 PM.  Funeral Services can be viewed  starting at 3:55 PM Saturday, under the Sermon tab on New Life Baptist Church Website: newlifeconcord.org

Those left to cherish fond memories include his dear wife, Evelyn Barbee; two daughters, Sherane Bunting and Rashida Barbee; grandchildren, Rashawn Barbee Sr., Saadiq Coakley, Samarra Coakley, Suraya Bunting, Jeremiah Halloway, Zoey Halloway; great grandchild, Rashawn Barbee Jr.; sisters, Pearl Little, Mona Gatlin, Trenace Watkins, Gwendolyn Douglas, Shawn Barbee; brother, Anthony Barbee and a host of other relatives and friends.

Due to Covid-19, masks are appreciated if worn in all services.
