Obituary
Steven Douglas Brooks, 68, of Forest St. Harrisburg, NC; passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
He was born November 3, 1954, in Cabarrus County to the late Douglas Brooks and the late Ruth Craig Brooks.
Steven was a graduate of Concord High School, Concordia College in Selma, AL and RCCC. He was formerly employed with Continental Tire.
Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 200 Sims Parkway. Harrisburg, NC. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with funeral service at 12:00 PM. A burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Parks Brooks.
Those left to cherish his memories include, one son, Dorian Montgomery (Tara) of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Shaina Montgomery of Harrisburg, NC and Stesha Brooks-Alsop of Harrisburg, NC; five grandchildren, AJ Montgomery, Kellen Brooks, Kaden Alsop, Kieran Alsop and Tiernan Spice-Ortiz; two sisters, Ruth Brooks of Concord, NC and Ursula Barrier of Concord, NC; sisters-in-law Esther Roseman, Dorcas Stafford (Michael); brothers-in-law Larry Parks (Jane) and Melvin Parks (Nancy) and a host of other relatives and friends.
