Sylvester Davidson, 70, of Wood Ave, Kannapolis, NC, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at his residence. He was born April 1, 1951 in Mecklenburg County to the late Richard Davidson and the late Bernice Heath.
Sylvester was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and was a 1971 graduate of North Mecklenburg High School. He was formerly employed with Fieldcrest Cannon Mills, Voyager’s Trucking Co. and Hardee’s. Sylvester was a member of First Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board, Men’s Choir, Voices of Unity, Trustee Board and also a Van Driver.
Services will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at First Baptist Church, 1311 East First St., Kannapolis, NC. Visitation will be 1:30 PM –2:30 PM with Funeral Services at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his devoted wife, Terry Hair Davidson of the home; three sons, Rayshawn Davidson of Statesville, NC, Michael Davidson of Atlanta, GA, Rasheem Davidson of South Dakota; two daughters, Donna Cherry of Charlotte, NC, Devona Davidson of Mooresville, NC; step-son, Franco Hair (Candie) of Concord, NC; step-daughter, Felicia Robinson (Paul) of Kannapolis, NC; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; two sisters, Amy Rankin (T.C.) of Mooresville, NC, Della Cherry (John) of Mooresville, NC; two brothers, John Davidson of Greenville, SC, Jimmy Davidson (Octavia) of Charlotte, NC; four sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law; two devoted friends, Alvin Alsbrook and Larry Allen and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
