William Otis “Wabby” Buster, 69, of Ingram Avenue, Kannapolis, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 5, at Tucker Hospice House.
He was born September 22, 1950 in Pensacola, FL to the late William O. Buster and the late Mary Parks Lipe.
William graduated from G.W. Carver High School and was formerly employed by Fed Ex. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he has served as Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Men of Integrity and New Members Ministry.
Services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 11. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 pm with funeral services at 2:00. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James E. Whyte.
Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Minnie S. Buster of the home; son, William M. Buster, Jr. (Ama) of Austin TX; two stepsons, Kenneth L. Washington (Val) of Concord, Charyess D. Knox (Kiafa) of Havre de Grace, MD; three daughters, Tara D. Ross (Micahel) Angie W. Reid (Kenneth) both of Kannapolis, Tia Buster of Winston Salem, NC;, two stepdaughters, Tericka Y. Knox of Salisbury, Yolanda Thompson (Milton) of Kannapolis; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Yvette Collins-Haili (Edward) of Blythewood, SC, Alvena Lipe Heggins (Isaac) of Salisbury; three brothers, Michael Collins of Columbia, SC, Oba Bomani Ayo of CA, and Eddie Lane White also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
