William Jacob Sherrill

William Jacob Sherrill, 46, of Keady Mill Loop Rd., Kannapolis, NC; passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, in Kannapolis due to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

He was born April 27, 1977, in Cabarrus County to the late William Sanders Sherrill, and the late Georgia Ann Suggs Kerley.

Jacob was a 1995 graduate of A.L. Brown High School and was the owner of Double Diamond Sports Shop.

Service will be held on Thursday, September 7, at Living Water Church of God, 166 N. Little Texas Road, Kannapolis, NC.  Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM with funeral service at 3:00 PM. A burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Suggs.

Those left to cherish his memories include, his wife Okeya Hollis Sherrill of the home; two sons, Kaleel Hollis and Kheni Briggs both of the home; two grandchildren, Caliegh and Riley; maternal grandmother, Barbara Suggs of Kannapolis, NC; god children, Brooklyn, Yero, Khalia, Livie, Alayla, Khenijae; mother-in-law, Deborah Hollis of Kannapolis; two uncles, Chick Suggs (Robin), Doug Suggs; cousin, Heather Suggs; close friends, Tiffany Riley Flynn, Erica & CJ Loftis; special brother-in-law, Meccico Hollis of Kannapolis, NC; and a host of cousins, and friends.
