Obituary
William Frank Smith, Jr., 63, of Mesa Trail, Lusby, MD; passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at his residence.
He was born April 20, 1960, in Cabarrus County to the late Billy Frank Smith, Sr. and the late Gwendolyn Faye Parks Smith.
Frank was a 1978 graduate of A.L. Brown High School; and served in the US Navy. After his Honorable Discharge he was employed by the US Government.
Service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 5835 Charlie Walker Road, Kannapolis, NC. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Those left to cherish his memories include, his brother, Richard Scott Smith of Kannapolis, NC; nephew, Scotty Atwell of Kannapolis, NC; niece, Kendra Atwell of Kannapolis, NC; aunt, Shirley Freeman (Pete) of Mt. Pleasant, NC; special friends, Renee Van Erp (Chris), Leslie Hall; and a host of cousins, and friends.
